Zoetis is looking for a Veterinary Manager Companion Animals & Equine. The position can be based in our office in Zaventem (Belgium) or Capelle a/d Ijssel (The Netherlands).
The candidate provides high quality veterinary medical expertise and support to Customers and the Companion Animals Business Unit for both Small Animals (Focus on The Netherlands) & Equine (Focus Benelux).
To ensure our scientific resources and technical activities, he/she creates and delivers unparalleled value to our customers and therefore becomes a major differentiator, creating competitive advantage and contributing to the growth objectives of Zoetis’ Companion Animal business.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Support
- Implements and coordinates KOL management plans (incl. clinical activities and study grants)
- Supports the strategy alongside the Business Unit Director and the National Veterinary Manager with Value Added Services activities
- Maintains and develops communication programs with vet students at universities.
- Provides high-level medical consultancy to customers.
- Ensures proper conduct of clinical activities
- Supports pharmacovigilance cases when needed
- Creates effective cross functional relationships with the field force team to ensure continuous alignment of technical programs with commercial activities, account and strategic account plans
- Maintains high level of expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends
- Anticipates new customer needs and technical/scientific trends in the CA and Equine segment. Eager to permanently keep up to date with the latest scientific information in CA and Equine segment and to transfer knowledge.
Support for Marketing Campaigns
- Develops and validates the content for the omnichannel marketing campaigns together with the Marketing Manager that allow marketing messages and product information to be easily translatable into the context of the Solution Selling model
- Collaborates with commercial and marketing teams to agree on training priorities and development plans for field force teams that support marketing activities
- Conducts regular customer visits to gain customer insights. Use this knowledge to feed into innovative strategies that makes the difference vs competition and aligned with customers and consumers needs
Relationships
- Develops partnerships with product stakeholders with a common goal of maximizing commerciality of products and services
- Engages with the internal technical colleagues to share best practice activities and studies
- Uses links with external networks and key influencers to bring innovation to our business
- Contributes to the success of the business by sharing best practice with colleagues, proactively contributing ideas, and supporting others to do the same across the business
Financial Management & Compliance
- Responsible for Scientific approval and compliance.
- Maintains high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practice

Training & Qualifications :
- Education (degree): DVM degree, with expertise in equine and small animals, is mandatory. Specialization in some relevant therapeutic areas is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, French is an asset
Experience
- High level practical experience is required: Vet experience in private or university practice (preferably min. 2 years).
- Additional previous technical roles in the AH Industry is an advantage.
