We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis, planning, accounting, reporting and performance evaluation. This allows the organization to continue advancing medical innovation and improve lives.

Welcome in our team

This position is part of the Cost of Sales & Inventory matrix organization, which performs end to end activities from actual occurrence of a financial result till consolidation level in HQ. Main tasks will be maintaining, reviewing, reporting and analyzing of sales, inventory, intercompany profit, production and product cost data in supporting the monthly accounting close and management cycles for one or multiple branches.

This position is part of the COSI NL Inventory team supporting all regions globally. The team is responsible for accurately performing accounting activities in relationship to our Inventory in Human Heath & Vaccines, with a main focus on Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) & Discards. And informing business partners of actual Inventory results from an End-to-End perspective. Hereby the financial results are provided with integrity and treated with sensitivity. Further, the COSI organization is continuously looking for synergies and process changes with business partners to optimize and improve systems & processes in line with our internal policies and procedures but also external, US GAAP & IFRS.

Main responsibilities

  • Complete the monthly close functions with respect to IQV which ensures inventory reserves are recorded in an accurate and timely manner within the close deadlines.
  • Responsible for performing accounting activities for IQV, from and in line with US GAAP and according to our internal reporting design from End-to-End perspective. Ensure IQV inventory reserves are created and maintained, both routine and ad hoc.
  • Review of accounting of Discards and accurate reporting within our internal reporting design for the controlled regions and budgets
  • Responsible for alignment of Discard’s P&L accounts with the relevant Financial Sharing Area metrics on Country and Divisional level.
  • Monitor discards levels and generate appropriate actions with our division stakeholders to avoid inventory risks and discards.
  • Ensuring that appropriate and adequate internal controls are in place in accordance with corporate procedures – including liaising with internal- and external audit teams. Acting as a first point of contact for external and internal auditors in relation to IQV & Discard.
  • Participate in regional Governance meeting and provide pro-active feedback to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and reporting performance metrics and perform ad-hoc consolidation analysis to support business decisions.
  • Participate/manage IQV disputes process and work closely with other finance and SCM teams for timely resolution of disputes.
  • Participate in special and ad hoc projects to support management analysis and provide ad-hoc quality support to business partners and business development projects.
  • Identifies opportunities and drives system and process improvements for process bottlenecks within COSI Inventory activities. This to maintain, harmonize, and ensure global standardization of processes.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree, accounting/finance background preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Previous practical experience of preparing accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Good SAP knowledge, advanced Excel knowledge. PowerBI is a pre.
  • Fluently in written and spoken English.
  • Able to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Able to see the wider picture and how decisions could affect the site, region and entities.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst delivering high-quality work.
  • Intercultural experience and enjoys working in a multi-cultural organization.
  • Willingness to take on responsibility, goal-orientated, and capable of making decisions.
  • Initiative, adaptive, open to change, customer-orientated.
  • Organized with excellent analytical skills.
